How to check paper weight GSM

To check the GSM (grams per square meter) of a paper, you can follow these steps:

  1. Find a scale that can measure in grams.
  2. Cut a piece of paper with a known size, such as 10cm x 10cm or 8.5in x 11in.
  3. Weigh the piece of paper using the scale.
  4. Calculate the GSM by dividing the weight of the paper by the area of the paper. For example, if the paper weighs 5 grams and the size is 10cm x 10cm (0.1m x 0.1m = 0.01 square meters), then the GSM would be 5 / 0.01 = 500 GSM.

Alternatively, you can also look for the GSM information on the packaging or label of the paper, as it is often printed on it.
